The Salter family has much pleasure in welcoming you to our 6th annual Roma Droughtmaster Bull Sale.
This year we are delighted to offer you 100 rising two year old bulls to help you meet your market requirements while adding quality, efficiency, growth and value to your herd.
We have been fortunate enough to receive just enough rain to grow an oats crop for the bulls, so they are paddock-reared, with no feedlot experience!
In conjunction with the seven single sire stud herds, we also run a large commercial operation. The whole business, including the stud is run on commercial principles. Heifers are mated at an average age of 14 months and all non pregnant females are culled.
Importantly, as seedstock producers, we only offer bulls that have been thoroughly vet checked for physical and reproductive soundness. In addition, our bulls have been ‘ear-notch’ tested for Pestivirus to ensure our bulls do not pass on this insidious disease.
As an added service, we also provide Estimated Breeding Values for growth, milk and scrotal size, scanning data, average calving intervals for the dams of all registered bulls, and a full vaccination program of vibrio, 3 germ blood, 7-in-1 and 3-day sickness.
