Welcome to the 2009 Sale
The Salter family has much pleasure in welcoming you to our 4th annual Roma Droughtmaster Bull Sale.
This year we are delighted to offer you 110 rising two year old bulls to help you meet your market requirements while adding quality, efficiency, growth and value to your herd.
This year for the first time in several years, we have been fortunate enough to receive just enough rain to grow an oats crop for the bulls, so they are paddock-reared, with no feedlot experience!
In conjunction with the seven single sire stud herd, we also run a large commercial operation with the whole business including the stud run on commercial principals including mating heifers at 14 months and culling all non-pregnant females.
Importantly, as seedstock producers, we only offer bulls that have been thoroughly vet checked for physical and reproductive soundness, including morphology testing of semen. As an added service, we also provide Estimated Breeding Values for growth, milk and scrotal size, scanning data, average calving intervals for the dams of all registered bulls, and a full vaccination program of vibrio, 3 germ blood, 7-in-1 and 3-day.
Most importantly, the bulls are ‘ready to work' for you. A bull purchased from Glen Fosslyn is an investment in your herd and in the future of your business.
Please take the time to visit our website www.glenfosslyn.com.au where in the on-line catalogue you will find all details of the bulls and photos of most lots to be offered. We are conscious of the trust cattlemen put in our cattle and breeding philosophies, so if you are looking to invest in quality bulls and make informed decisions, it is important for you to attend the Glen Fosslyn Annual Bull Sale on Saturday 5th September.
We are looking forward to meeting with you soon and seeing you at our sale, however in the meantime, if there is anything we can do to assist you or if you wish to view the bulls prior to sale, please contact us.
