Minlacowie Bold Baron Passes Away

The renowned sire Minlacowie Bold Baron was humanely put down at the age of 10 years. Bold Baron was purchased from the Spann Family at the 1998 National Sale for $9,000. During his time at the Glen Fosslyn Stud he sired 204 calves. To date a total of 41 male progeny have been sold to a top of $16,000 for Glen Fosslyn 99/077 to the Veivers Family’s Talgai Stud, to average $4,790. The last of his progeny will be available at our 2006 annual sale. We have retained 3 of his sons within our stud and commercial herds including Glen Fosslyn 99/086. His correct structure and EBV's of +5, +19 and +39 for 200, 400 and 600 day growth will leave his 'brand' on the stud for many years to come.
